Daye Bensa Coffee Farm

In the highlands of southern Ethiopia lies Daye Bensa, a celebrated coffee region within Sidamo known for producing vibrant and fruit-forward coffees. The combination of rich soil, high altitude, and generations of skilled farmers makes this area one of the most distinctive origins in the world of specialty coffee.

Founded in 2006 by brothers Asefa and Mulugeta Dukamo, Daye Bensa works with both its own farms and surrounding smallholders across the villages of Shantawene, Karamo, and Bombe. The cherries are grown between 1900 and 2400 meters above sea level, where the cool climate and slow ripening allow the beans to develop exceptional sweetness and clarity.
Daye Bensa is committed to sustainability and community development. The farms are organically certified, and many of the workers are women from local communities. The cooperative reinvests in training, education, and improved processing facilities - ensuring not only exceptional coffee, but also a positive social impact.
The result is a coffee that embodies the essence of Ethiopian craftsmanship: bright, juicy, and full of life.
