Finca Ceylan y Anexos

Located in San Miguel Pochuta, Chimaltenango, Finca Ceylan y Anexos has been owned by the Echeverria family since 1870. Originally known as Finca Ceylan y Colima, the farm has gradually incorporated neighboring plots, leading to its current name. Sitting at altitudes between 1,050 and 1,600 meters above sea level and blessed with nutrient-rich volcanic soil, the area is ideal for cultivating Arabica varieties such as Bourbon, Typica, and Mundo Novo.

The farm holds certifications from Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, USDA Organic, and Smithsonian Bird Friendly, reflecting its strong commitment to sustainability and biodiversity. The coffee cherries are processed using the washed method, with byproducts repurposed as organic fertilizer, and wastewater treated through oxidation tanks to protect local waterways.

Social responsibility is a core value at Finca Ceylan. The farm provides housing, clean drinking water, and educational opportunities for workers and their families. In addition, alternative crops such as bananas and macadamia nuts are cultivated to diversify income and support the surrounding community.

Finca Ceylan’s coffee is known for its balanced flavor profile, featuring notes of dark chocolate, candied plum, and a creamy mouthfeel. It is particularly well-suited for both espresso and filter brewing.
At beans, we are proud to offer coffee from Finca Ceylan y Anexos – a farm that combines tradition, sustainability, and outstanding coffee quality.
