Valle Verde

NO. 31 is a fresh and fruit-forward espresso from the Valle Verde cooperative in northern Peru - near the lush borders of the Amazon. The region’s fertile landscape and rich biodiversity create ideal conditions for growing coffee with clarity, sweetness, and lively fruit character. This espresso captures the essence of the area: bright, juicy, and full of life.

The roast is intentionally light to preserve the coffee’s natural fruit tones and delicate sweetness. In the cup, you’ll find juicy acidity balanced by smooth chocolate fudge notes, hints of bergamot, and a touch of citrus. The result is a clean, structured espresso with vibrancy and elegance - energetic yet never sharp. Its subtle backbone provides balance, giving the coffee depth beneath its fresh surface.

Our visit to Valle Verde in 2022 revealed more than just exceptional coffee - it showed a community deeply connected to nature. The farms here are organic by culture, not by trend: banana trees shade the coffee plants, pineapple and beans grow between them, and hens roam freely. The farmers see no need for chemicals when their coffee fields are also their gardens. This close relationship with the land gives the coffee a purity that can truly be tasted in every cup.
