Optimise your tap water with the BWT AQUAlizer Home filter jug.
It reduces limescale and enriches the water with magnesium, enhancing the aroma and flavour of coffee, tea, and more.

BWT AQUAlizer Home – delicious tap water
The jug uses a replaceable cartridge that lowers limescale as well as lead and copper, while adding magnesium.
Capacity is 2.7 litres, and the dual‑filter cartridge treats up to 120 litres of water (about 100 fillings) at a carbonate hardness (kH) of 10.
If you don’t reach full capacity, replace the cartridge every four weeks to prevent bacterial growth.
Note: the cartridge removes roughly half of the carbonate hardness.

The lid features a filling flap and a manual filter indicator. After changing the cartridge, reset the indicator.

Determining water hardness
To find your tap‑water hardness, contact your local water utility. If only total hardness (dH) is provided, carbonate hardness (kH) is roughly two‑thirds of dH.

Why limescale is a problem
Limescale deposits damage the boiler and internal metal parts of espresso machines and kettles. Scale narrows pipes, clogs solenoid valves, and coats heating elements, leading to higher energy use and costly repairs.
Just 1 mm of scale on a heating element can increase energy consumption by 10 %.
