Yirgacheffe

NO 5 is our take on how to combine vibrant fruitiness and finesse with the depth and body expected from a true espresso. This is a different kind of experience – an espresso with Ethiopian character and a lively, floral expression.

The beans are sourced from the legendary Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia, renowned for producing exceptionally clean, fruit-forward coffees with delicate floral notes. Traditionally, Yirgacheffe beans are lightly roasted and used for filter brewing to highlight their bright, fresh qualities. But we challenged that norm – could we create an espresso that retained those vibrant tones without sacrificing richness and body?

The result is NO 5 – a medium-roasted espresso with subtle notes of black tea, sweet citrus, and ripe stone fruits, all wrapped in soft hints of vanilla and chocolate. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, and the flavor evolves in layers: beginning with a silky chocolate base, followed by a juicy, fruit-rich midsection of sweet orange and plum, and finishing with a clean, fresh aftertaste – free from sharp acidity or bitterness.

NO 5 is an espresso of elegance and nuance – surprising and delightful on its own, and exceptionally expressive in lighter milk-based drinks, where its fruity complexity truly shines.
